GATE 2023: Everything You Need to Know

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, commonly known as GATE, is one of the most prestigious examinations for engineering students in India. GATE Exam Pattern:

The GATE 2023 exam pattern will have two types of questions- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. MCQs will have four options, out of which only one will be correct. In NAT questions, candidates have to enter a numerical value as the answer using the virtual keyboard provided on the screen. There will be no negative marking for NAT questions, but there will be negative marking for MCQs.

The examination will consist of two sections. The first section will be General Aptitude, which will have 10 questions common to all branches. The second section will have subject-specific questions. The total marks for the examination will be 100.

GATE Admit Card:

The GATE 2023 admit card will be available to download from the official website in January 2023. Candidates are required to carry a printed copy of the admit card to the examination centre along with a valid photo ID proof. The admit card will contain details such as the candidate’s name, photograph, examination date and time, examination centre address, and instructions for the examination.

GATE Results:

The GATE 2023 results will be announced in March 2023. The results will be available on the official website. The GATE scorecard will be valid for three years from the date of declaration of the results. Candidates can use the GATE scorecard to apply for postgraduate programmes in various institutes across India.

GATE Preparation:
